Services
Tailored EYFS Consultancy
Advice and support are provided around your specific and individual needs. After the consultancy visit, I provide visit notes which summarise the key points discussed and agreed actions points.
EYFS Profile Moderation
Being an EYFS accredited Profile Moderator, I have extensive experience of working with practitioners to ensure that their judgments are accurate, consistent, and in line with the statutory early learning goals. I can offer moderation on a one to one basis, whole staff teams within schools, and school to school moderation.
School Improvement
I support the Senior Leaders and EYFS Leads to carry out accurate self-evaluation of the quality of the early years education at their school, so that they can develop their practice and provision, which will also link to the whole school key priorities.
EYFS Leadership & Management
I work closely with the Senior Leaders and EYFS Leads to develop their knowledge of effective leadership and management within their EYFS. I then tailor support so that the EYFS lead carries out accurate evaluation of the quality of the EYFS so that improvements are made to impact positivity on raising standards within their school.

I support teachers in planning, designing and implementing their curriculum so that children benefit from meaningful learning experiences within a high-quality learning environment.
EYFS Reviews
Evaluating the quality of early years education. I can carry out a review of the effectiveness of practice and provision within the early years foundation stage. I can work with leaders to support them to carryout effective self-evaluation of the quality of the early years education on offer, with reference to the Ofsted School Inspection Handbook.

About Me
My career in education started over twenty-five years ago as a Nursery Nurse, and later a Class Teacher and then the Early Years Foundation Stage Leader. During this time, I completed a Master of Arts in Education, in Action Research.
After teaching I became an Education Advisor, and have spent the last twelve years as an advisor specialising in the EYFS. I am also an accredited Profile Moderator and for the last nine years, was the EYFS Profile Moderation Manager working on behalf of the Birmingham Local Authority.
Recently I became a part-time Early Years Foundation Stage School Improvement Leader for a group of schools in Birmingham. I am also a part-time independent EYFS Consultant.
As an independent Early Years Foundation Stage Consultant, I am able to offer an array of services. I have a pragmatic approach and an infectious enthusiasm for the EYFS. I simply want all children to obtain the solid educational foundation that they truly deserve, irrespective of their background or personal situation. If their foundations are solid, this provides them with the broad range of skills and knowledge for future progress and to become lifelong learners.
